Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the company's commitment to customer satisfaction and the improvement of the Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct internal audits as needed to ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
  • Monitor and maintain quality requirements, controlling costs and ensuring safety.
  • Provide reporting and recommendations to the Quality Manager.
  • Act as a thought advisor for the Quality System and Quality Assurance methodologies.
  • Assist in facilitating RCCA workshops and training quality-related topics.
  • Support internal and external customers with quality issues and problem-solving.
  • Provide support for Supplier Quality.
  • Interface with personnel and customers to address quality and auditing expectations.
  • Perform PPAP/FAI tasks and reporting.
  • Create and execute strategies to support annual objectives.
  • Support the coaching of Managers, Supervisors, and Production personnel in QMS.
  • Provide hands-on support for quality issues, error proofing, and complaint resolution.
  • Track key quality trends and initiate RCCA as warranted.
  • Conduct PPAP, FMEA, FAIR, and Control plans as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role.
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • ASQ certification preferred.
  • IPC 610/620 certified preferred.
  • Prior 13485 background preferred.
