Role Overview

As a CPU Performance Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
  • Partnering with software and systems teams to pinpoint and analyze critical workloads impacting CPU performance and energy efficiency.
  • Creating representative benchmarks tailored for essential CPU workloads.
  • Capturing significant workloads for simulation on CPU performance models.
  • Identifying performance bottlenecks in both hardware and software.
  • Collaborating closely with Architecture, Micro-Architecture, and RTL teams to devise effective solutions.
  • Executing and evaluating workloads on simulators and prototype devices while enhancing performance analysis infrastructure.

Key Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and over 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Expertise in CPU performance architecture, micro-architecture design, or performance evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of CPU architecture and micro-architecture, along with insights into competing architectures.
  • Experience in a performance modeling environment.
  • Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, and Ruby.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to validate your own concepts.
  • Knowledge of common performance benchmarks and workloads.
  • Familiarity with operating system internals and compiler technology is advantageous.

Education & Experience

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and over 3 years of relevant industry experience.
