Position Overview:

Theery is in search of a proficient Microarchitecture RTL Specialist to enhance our innovative team. This role is crucial for the advancement and fine-tuning of microprocessor architectures, spanning from high-level design exploration to precise RTL specification and validation. You will collaborate with diverse teams to ensure our designs achieve rigorous performance, power, and area objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Microarchitecture Development: Spearhead the creation and detailing of microarchitecture, from initial high-level design exploration through comprehensive microarchitectural studies to final specifications.
  • RTL Design: Craft, evaluate, and optimize RTL designs to fulfill power, performance, area, and timing criteria. Ensure designs are refined for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Validation and Verification: Assist in the formulation of test benches and simulations for both functional and performance validation. Confirm that designs meet established performance benchmarks.
  • Performance Exploration: Explore advanced performance strategies and methodologies, ensuring that the RTL design aligns with targeted performance metrics.
  • Design Delivery: Partner with a cross-functional engineering team to implement and validate physical design elements, including timing, area, reliability, testability, and power consumption.

Required Qualifications:

  • Microprocessor Expertise: Profound understanding of microprocessor architecture and microarchitecture, with experience in areas such as memory management, load/store execution, cache and memory subsystems, bus interfaces, debug features, and power management.
  • System Verilog Proficiency: Extensive expertise in System Verilog for RTL design and verification.
  • Simulation Tools: Familiarity with simulators and waveform debugging tools for validating RTL designs.
  • Logic Design Principles: Strong grasp of logic design principles, including timing and power considerations.
  • Power and Performance Techniques: Knowledge of low-power microarchitecture techniques and high-performance design strategies and trade-offs.
  • Programming Skills: Proficient in C or C++ programming for design and verification applications.
  • Scripting Languages: Skilled in scripting languages such as Perl or Python for automation and tool integration.

Education and Experience:

  • Degrees: PhD, Master's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
