Position Overview:
The Lead Financial Analyst for Sales Strategy is accountable to the FP&A Manager and plays a pivotal role in financial forecasting, reporting, and analytical functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership to design and implement the annual and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Analyze and report on variances between forecasts and actual results.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and analyses for executive management and the Board of Directors.
Strong collaboration and influence are essential for this role, as the financial forecasts are integral to establishing objectives and evaluating performance across all departments.
The close relationship between financial forecasts and operational metrics necessitates a strong partnership with the Business Intelligence team.
Additionally, a thorough understanding of the company's accounting practices and operations is required. Exceptional modeling and analytical capabilities are also crucial for success in this position.
General Duties:
- Calculate commissions for all sales divisions.
- Provide monthly budget-to-actual analyses to functional managers and assist them in developing strategies to address variances.
- Develop and enhance forecasting models and tools with a time horizon of 1-5 years.
- Prepare materials for quarterly Board meetings, including supporting models and data requests.
- Conduct business analyses for stakeholders as necessary.
- Support the Accounting team with technologies such as NetSuite and Adaptive Planning.
- Identify and spearhead process improvement initiatives that enhance internal and external reporting and forecasting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in financial modeling with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with NetSuite and Adaptive Planning is advantageous.
