Job Summary

The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing overall operations, labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures. Your primary objective will be to enhance operational procedures, systems, and principles in areas such as information flow and management, business processes, and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Company Systems: Oversee the management of our company's Applicant Tracking System and ensure its optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with Business Development and Program Management Leads to create and maintain Position Descriptions, and post job openings on various platforms to maximize exposure.
  • Develop and Implement Recruiting Strategies: Develop and maintain a comprehensive recruiting process, including creative recruiting programs, to attract top talent.
  • Attend Industry Events: Represent our company at job fairs, tradeshows, and customer events to build relationships and promote our brand.
  • Proposal Planning and Coordination: Assist in the planning, managing, and coordination of proposals to secure new business opportunities.
  • Employee Management: Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Plan and review compensation actions, enforce policies and procedures, and communicate job expectations to employees.
  • Customer Service: Communicate customer issues with the operations team, devise ways to improve the customer experience, and resolve problems and complaints.
  • Policy Implementation: Work closely with the management team to set and implement policies, procedures, and systems, and follow through with their implementation.
  • Department Meetings: Communicate all operating policies and issues at department meetings.
  • SharePoint Site Management: Maintain Business Development SharePoint sites.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline is preferred, and relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as an office/operations manager is preferred.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals.

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
