Position Overview:

Albanese is seeking to expand its Acquisitions team by adding an Analyst. This role, reporting directly to the Vice President of the group, will be integral to various stages of the real estate acquisition, development, and capital markets processes. The Analyst will contribute significantly to ongoing projects within the Albanese pipeline and collaborate with the Vice President to identify new investment opportunities and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis and Underwriting: Develop comprehensive Excel and Argus financial models for both ground-up developments and value-add acquisitions of residential and commercial properties.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market analysis, including comparative studies of rental, condo, land, and building sales, as well as evaluating market conditions and competitive dynamics.
  • Investment Memorandums: Prepare detailed internal and external investment memorandums that summarize financial analyses and market data for decision-making purposes.
  • Pipeline Management: Assist in managing the internal acquisition pipeline, including onboarding new deals, preparing materials for pipeline meetings, and sourcing new acquisition opportunities.
  • RFP and RFQ Preparation: Contribute to the narrative and quantitative sections of responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications.
  • Budgeting and Scheduling: Participate in the creation of pre-development and development budgets, as well as project schedules.
  • Entitlement Process: Engage in the entitlement process for proposed projects.
  • Due Diligence: Support all due diligence efforts and assist in the closing of transactions.
  • Financing: Aid in arranging debt and equity financing, interacting with lenders and investors, and analyzing financing terms.
  • Design Collaboration: Collaborate with project and design teams, including architects and planners, to assist in project design and follow-up.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate investment and possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in real estate investment roles involving underwriting and investment analysis.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and residential real estate.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, including project budgeting and cash flow analysis.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and a positive attitude.
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and efficient, with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Argus, Excel, and MS Office applications; knowledge of Adobe InDesign is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the NYC Metro market is advantageous.
