Role Responsibilities:

As a Production Agent, you will interact with independent Property and Casualty Retail Agents, representing contract or brokerage carriers. Your key duties will include soliciting, underwriting, marketing, and securing coverage for businesses in the excess and surplus lines market. Establishing strong relationships with partners is crucial for developing a profitable book of business.

Key Duties Include:

  • Fostering relationships with retail agents to generate new business
  • Collaborating with in-house binding and brokerage markets
  • Creatively negotiating account terms
  • Managing accounts of varying sizes throughout their lifecycle
  • Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
  • Participating in relevant conferences and seminars to enhance industry knowledge

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in wholesale brokerage/MGA or carrier roles
  • A sales-oriented individual with excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • Knowledgeable in property and casualty insurance
  • P&C License required; E&S License preferred
  • Proficient in relevant software applications
