About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Supervisor to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Manufacturing Operations group, you will be responsible for supervising personnel and ensuring the safe and efficient production of our orbital launch vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians and other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain training programs to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
  • Monitor and report on team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and manage budgets and resource allocation plans to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or a related field.
  • Leadership experience with dynamic team environments.
  • Strong understanding of production and development environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams of diverse skills, fields, and backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with constantly evolving roles and responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Management, Business, etc.) or equivalent directly related years of professional experience.
  • Lean certification.
  • Experience in new product introduction.
  • Experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Aerospace/Launch vehicles.
