Space Launch Vehicle Operations Specialist

At Blue Origin, we're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. As a key member of our team, you will support the design, development, and fabrication of space launch vehicles and components to support human spaceflight programs.

This is a hands-on position that requires strong communication, organization, planning, and project management skills. You will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Production Operations Control Center (POCC) as the customer service hub for Blue Origin Manufacturing.
  • Support current business systems, including issue identification and resolution, functional performance monitoring, and recovery strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Prioritize customer requests according to critical path schedule needs and manage shared asset reservations like forklifts, cranes, trucks, and transport carts.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing and/or supply chain driven environment.
  • Strong background in data analysis and skilled in data extraction, report writing, and aesthetic data presentation.
  • Proficient in the use of technology and automation to achieve overall business goals.
  • Results-driven and proactive in achieving future goals.
  • Possess a solid understanding of operating measurements of manufacturing areas of responsibility.
  • Proven track record of analyzing information and reporting gaps, presenting solutions, and implementing mitigation plans accordingly.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills and ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

Desired:

  • Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends, and travel on occasion.
  • Ability to handle multiple decisions based on workload dispersion, program priorities, and management and customer decisions.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong math and analytical skills to solve problems and excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
