Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will become a vital member of our Information Security Risk Assessment Team, which operates within the Information Security Services Organization at U.S. Bank. This role entails:

  • Evaluating risks associated with the organization's assets in accordance with established information security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments and audits to uncover vulnerabilities and potential threats to our information systems, networks, and data.
  • Regularly monitoring and reporting on compliance with established policies and procedures, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of potential risks and compliance obligations.
  • Implementing security controls and technologies to safeguard the organization's information assets, including data encryption, access controls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to develop effective incident response plans and procedures for timely and efficient handling of security incidents.

Preferred Qualifications:
We typically seek candidates with:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in information security.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues.
  • An advanced degree in Information Systems Management or Information Security is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CompTia are a plus.

Knowledge Requirements:
Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as ServiceNow IRM, Archer, Mitre ATT&CK Framework, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-30, NIST 800-37, CIS Benchmarks, PCI-DSS, and Cloud Security Alliance CCM is beneficial.

Work Schedule:
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance for three or more days each week, with flexibility for remote work on other days.
