POSITION OVERVIEW


As a Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer, you will work independently to contribute to the establishment of security measures, aiding various technology and business units in the execution of solutions and strategies to tackle intricate challenges, while adhering to the NIST framework.

This role involves analyzing security incidents reported through internal channels, third-party platforms, or native systems.

The Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer will maintain technical oversight with current or prospective solution providers and collaborate closely with the Governance Risk and Compliance team to evaluate both external and internal risk assessments.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Your focus will be on managing a suite of cybersecurity tools, including Threat Intelligence Platforms, Attack Surface Management, and Vulnerability Management, to ensure compliance with our security policies.


Employ automation tools to scrutinize threat data from various sources to verify, alert, and respond to potential risks to our organization.

Advocate for cybersecurity principles, tools, and processes, serving as a consultative partner to IT and business teams.


Conduct IT security evaluations and remediation efforts as part of the cybersecurity team, ensuring compliance with the NIST Framework.

Provide security expertise during project involvement, collaborating across departments that have security implications for the organization.


Lead and execute security initiatives, including vulnerability assessments and analysis, design and implementation of new solutions/features, and investigation of security incidents.

Recommend enhancements to toolsets and processes, and drive improvements within operational cybersecurity support.

Contribute to the documentation and enforcement of Security Policies and Operating Procedures.

Actively participate in security incident response activities and daily operational security tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS
B.S. degree in Information Technology, a related discipline, or equivalent experience and training is preferred.

3-5 years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering or a related field.

Relevant certifications and training (CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, etc.) are preferred.

Proficient understanding of event logging, parsing, and orchestration.

Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.

Experienced in conducting IT security-focused application/environment design reviews.


Familiarity with common security testing tools and techniques to perform various security assessments across multiple platforms, with significant expertise in either web or mobile penetration testing.

Knowledgeable in integrating security requirements into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Experience in designing and implementing security solutions.

Proficient in technical writing and capable of presenting information effectively.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The estimated base salary range for this position is $111,000 - $155,000. Additionally, you may be eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based on performance and other factors. Actual compensation may vary depending on skills, experience, and education.
