About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Plumbing and Mechanical Engineer to join our team at WSP Global Inc. in Seattle, WA. As a key member of our Property & Buildings - Mechanical Team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering services and contributing to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development and Design: Determine well-defined methods for collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from various sources, including physical work sites, surveys, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Construction and Installation Planning: Develop construction and installation plans, specifications, and cost estimates, and prepare construction safety and phasing plans.
  • Project Execution and Management: Work as an individual or as part of a cross-functional team to execute project work, assist with laying out installation of equipment, and ensure project work conforms with specifications and regulations.
  • Technical Reporting and Communication: Prepare technical reports and presentations that explain research, findings, and recommendations to improve, prevent, control, restore, or address design and/or construction issues or opportunities.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Maintain quality control standards and procedures for accurate and precise measurements, statistical analysis, and reporting.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior plumbing and mechanical design experience.
  • Certifications: Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Skills: Proficient knowledge of plumbing and mechanical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to project work-related issues.
  • Project Management: Experience with small to mid-level projects, including tracking hours and expenses for project work.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Essential Professional Licensure/Certification: Essential Professional Licensure/Certification.
  • Project Management Experience: Experience managing small to mid-size projects.
  • OSHA Training: 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR preferred).
