Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate engineering work on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication among project team members and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Support to Project Managers: Support Project Managers in tasks such as takeoff estimating, billing, and closeout documentation.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in drafting proposals, memos, and other project-related documents, fostering internal departmental relationships.
  • Site Surveys: Survey existing buildings for retrofit opportunities, gathering data on energy use and structural characteristics.
  • Preliminary Designs: Develop preliminary designs for budgeting purposes and provide technical support throughout construction efforts.
  • Procurement: Collaborate with the Purchasing Department for the seamless integration of scope, pricing, and delivery of purchased items.
  • Installation Procedures: Coordinate installation procedures among engineering, construction teams, and stakeholders, managing onsite progress and operational challenges.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative tasks efficiently, including document control and procurement logs, ensuring projects progress on schedule and within budget.
  • Customer Engagement: Actively engage with customers, contractors, and subcontractors, attending meetings and providing detailed instructions to meet project expectations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in plumbing with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively and persevere through challenges with minimal supervision.
  • Effective teamwork skills and an understanding of organizational strategies.
  • Technical curiosity and strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, operate devices, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and lift weights up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision.
