Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive deliverables, including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Lead client meetings and coordinate efforts between internal and external project teams.
  • Utilize engineering judgment and techniques to guide projects from conception through to construction.
  • Assemble and manage effective project teams.
  • Oversee plumbing design calculations and select appropriate equipment.
  • Conduct site visits and generate detailed reports.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development for junior staff.
  • Draft plumbing specifications and maintain master specifications and standards.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Engage in firm leadership committees.
  • Determine plumbing system requirements for diverse building types.
  • Ensure adherence to the project quality management plan (QMP) and lead project management efforts to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  • May serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR).
  • Inspire and motivate team members.
  • Act as a technical resource within the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) and Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD).
  • Preferred: LEED accreditation.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in MEP consulting or 7+ years in a related field.
  • Expertise in mechanical and plumbing system design.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, plumbing design concepts, and applicable standards (UPC, IPC, NFPA, IBC).
  • Strong communication skills for presenting design options.
  • Effective delegation and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary coordination.
  • This position offers a hybrid work environment.
Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary range: $94,950 - $130,500 annually, with eligibility for overtime pay.

The salary is part of PAE's comprehensive compensation package, which considers various factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. Employees may also receive additional rewards, including performance-based salary increases and bonuses.
