Position Overview
As a key member of our engineering team, you will take on the responsibility of producing high-quality deliverables, including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications. Your role will involve:
  • Leading client meetings and coordinating efforts between project teams.
  • Applying engineering judgment and techniques to guide projects from initial concepts through to construction.
  • Assembling and overseeing effective project teams.
  • Conducting plumbing design calculations and selecting appropriate equipment.
  • Performing site visits and generating comprehensive reports.
  • Providing mentorship and development opportunities for junior staff.
  • Writing and updating plumbing specifications and master standards.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Participating in leadership committees within the firm.
  • Determining plumbing system requirements for various building types.
  • Ensuring adherence to the project quality management plan.
  • Inspiring and motivating team members while serving as a technical resource.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • A college degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) is preferred.
  • Certification as a Plumbing Designer (CPD) is advantageous.
  • LEED accreditation is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in MEP consulting or 7 years of related experience.
  • Expertise in mechanical and plumbing system design.
  • Advanced knowledge of building codes and plumbing design standards.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively convey design options.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment
This position is hybrid, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work. You will operate in a professional office setting, which may include the presence of pets. Standard office equipment will be utilized regularly.
