Job Title: Superintendent, Site Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent, Site Development to join our civil construction team in Reston, Virginia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multiple crews and sites, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple crews and sites, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Read and interpret civil plans, proposals, change orders, and scope-related documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and office teams.
  • Seek assistance when necessary and refrain from attempting tasks beyond your expertise.
  • Interpret cut sheets and operate a transit for grade shooting.

Requirements:

  • Operating skills (excavator, skid steer, and bulldozer)
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Knowledge of site work and utility work
  • Understanding of county codes for our work regions
  • Safety knowledge
  • Client-facing experience and professionalism

Physical Requirements:

  • Employee must be physically fit to perform duties in all types of environments and conditions
  • Regularly required to sit and stand, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, and verbally communicate and listen
  • Other physical requirements include walking, climbing, balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, or crawling
  • Specific vision abilities required include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
