About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our Development team at OneEnergy Renewables. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of solar energy projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate activities within the company and with external consultants to secure regulatory, sitting, and environmental requirements and approvals needed to advance solar energy projects.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines and resources, collaborating across company-wide functional teams.
  • Prepare milestone schedules, budgets, and staffing requirements to complete project development on assigned projects.
  • Prepare, solicit, analyze, and/or support project permit applications, reports, summaries, contracts, schedules, budgets, invoices, financial models, utility interconnection studies, and engineering designs.
  • Collaborate across teams to optimize projects, modify plans, project schedules, budgets, and forecasts as appropriate based on evolving site constraints, markets, policy, competitive landscape, and company goals.
  • Negotiate with wildlife, wetland, transportation, land use, and other regulatory agencies to achieve acceptable permit conditions consistent with project and company goals, schedules, and costs.
  • Influence and engage with landowners, community stakeholders, governmental/regulatory agencies, utilities, customers, and external consultants as OneEnergy's primary point of contact to advance projects, determine critical paths, assess/mitigate risk, and optimize overall project economics.
  • Participate in Real Estate team land campaigns and site acquisition negotiations.
  • Interview and screen potential subcontractors and vendors per OneEnergy standards, giving special attention to value, quality, diversity, and equity.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • 2+ years of project management experience in renewable energy, real estate, and/or a land use-related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of renewable energy project development from project inception through construction.
  • Preferred knowledge and experience with PJM interconnections and permitting within Maryland, Virginia, and/or Pennsylvania.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of organizational capacity to manage multiple projects; excellent quantitative analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • A proven ability to provide efficient, timely, and reliable service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with developing stakeholder relationships and working with permitting authorities.
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and stress while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
  • Excellent PC computer skills and familiarity with MS Office and Windows. Experience with Salesforce a plus.
  • Ability to travel and access sites of varying terrain. Position requires frequent travel, up to 1-2 weeks per month or about 20% of working time; must carry an active driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
