Position: Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Weekday Visits

Location: Independence, MO and Surrounding Areas

Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000

Role Summary

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will collaborate closely with licensed occupational therapists to consistently assess and adjust patient care plans, treatment goals, and therapeutic interventions. Your role will include providing updates on patient progress during scheduled meetings and contributing to the evaluation and screening processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver occupational therapy services under the guidance of a Licensed Occupational Therapist, adhering to the established physician's Plan of Care and complying with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services as prescribed by a physician, following the established Plan of Care.
  • Engage in communication and case conference activities to ensure high-quality and continuous patient care.
  • Maintain adherence to the Business Code of Ethics.
  • Ensure compliance with agency standards, policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Document all care and services provided accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner, following physician orders and agency standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to review and update patient care plans and set new goals as needed.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
  • COTA certification is required.
  • Experience in home care or rehabilitation settings is preferred.
