Job Summary

The Residence Manager is a key role within The Salvation Army, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our residential facilities. This position requires a strong leader who can manage a team, ensure the well-being of our residents, and maintain a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential facility, including staff supervision and resident care.
  • Develop and implement programs to support the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of residents.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and resident satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of resident progress and facility operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Previous managerial experience is desirable.
  • Must possess a current Driver's License and be able to qualify for The Salvation Army insurance.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional journals, financial reports, and other data.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from beneficiaries, agencies, or the community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to administration, beneficiaries, and/or public groups.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as rate, ratio, and percentages.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical Requirements

  • Speaking, hearing, and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity to be able to perform on computers.
  • Lifting, pulling, and pushing of materials up to 20 pounds to be able to move equipment.

Travel and Working Conditions

  • Out of town or overnight travel may be required up to 2 times a year for training or program events.
  • This job is mostly performed in a residential institutional environment with a quiet to moderate noise level.
  • At times, they will be required to go into the warehouse or stores.
  • Closed toe shoes with rubber soles are required for the warehouse for all employees.
  • This position may be contingent on living in the ARC (Adult Rehabilitation Center).
