Direct Counsel, LLC is collaborating with a prestigious, nationally acclaimed law firm to identify a qualified candidate for the position of Labor and Employment Law Associate.

The successful applicant will possess between 3 to 6 years of experience in the field of Labor and Employment law.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is set between $180,000 and $225,000 annually, in accordance with state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for clients in both litigation and administrative matters related to labor and employment issues.
  • Perform legal research and prepare essential legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Offer strategic legal guidance on a variety of employment-related topics, such as discrimination, harassment, wage compliance, wrongful termination, and contractual agreements.
  • Assist in compliance audits and investigative processes.
  • Draft and evaluate employment policies, handbooks, and contracts.
  • Engage in negotiations and mediation sessions.
  • Stay informed on legislative and regulatory changes impacting labor and employment law.
  • Work collaboratively with partners, associates, and support staff to provide outstanding legal services to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law institution.
  • Active admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and employment law, ideally within a law firm environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work setting.
  • Dedication to professionalism, ethical standards, and excellence in client service.
