Salary:
$200,000 - $260,000 per year

We are a national employment law firm with a robust presence across the country, featuring over 25 offices and a team of more than 450 attorneys. Our practice encompasses representation before state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies throughout the United States. We are currently seeking an experienced Litigation Associate with 3-6 years of expertise to handle a diverse array of employment litigation cases.

Position Overview:
We are in search of a motivated and skilled Employment Litigation Associate. This permanent position presents an exciting chance to engage with a variety of employment litigation matters.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in civil litigation, particularly in employment law. They should have substantial experience in managing cases, drafting and responding to discovery requests, defending depositions, and preparing for trial.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Employment Litigation Associate, your duties will include:
  • Representing clients throughout all phases of employment litigation, including pre-litigation, discovery, motions, trials, and appeals.
  • Drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Preparing and arguing motions.
  • Defending and conducting depositions.
  • Managing discovery processes and preparing cases for trial.
  • Participating in mediations and settlement discussions.
  • Providing legal advice and counsel to clients on state and federal employment laws.
  • Staying informed on developments in employment law and advising clients accordingly.
  • Collaborating with fellow attorneys to ensure optimal representation for clients.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
  • A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the DC and Maryland bars.
  • A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on employment law.
  • Proven experience as a case handling attorney in federal court.
  • Extensive skills in drafting and responding to discovery, arguing motions, and managing depositions.
  • A comprehensive understanding of state and federal employment laws.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The capability to manage a substantial caseload independently.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
