Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, mobility, and engagement in recreational activities.
  • Participate in the recruitment and training of new staff, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
  • Support the neighborhood director with staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage for care manager shifts.
  • Provide ongoing support and problem-solving for the care management team during shifts.
  • Ensure teamwork among care managers to promptly address residents' needs with compassion and competence.
  • Oversee housekeeping and laundry services for residents, ensuring cleanliness and comfort.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and facilitate communication during shift changes.
  • Assist in dining services during meal times, ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Communicate any changes in residents' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized service plans for residents.
  • Provide feedback on staff performance and identify operational needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Stay informed about emergency procedures and act as a leader during emergencies.
  • Engage in professional development through meetings and training sessions.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to present information clearly and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic calculations.

Requirements:
  • Proficient communication with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code standards.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
  • Good physical and mental health to perform job duties.
  • Clear health screening for tuberculosis.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Nurse Aide Certification or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant, with a focus on geriatric care.

Mental and Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to communicate effectively.
  • Specific vision abilities needed for close tasks.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and handle objects.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds frequently.
