We are seeking a dedicated professional for the role of Clearance Processing Project Analyst.

This position offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of personnel from the Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL), Bechtel Plant Machinery Incorporated (BPMI), and various Government representatives.

The successful candidate will manage all facets of the security clearance process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the clearance processing team to guarantee timely processing, monitor work quality, and ensure candidate responsiveness.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the clearance processing team.
  • Conduct data collection, tracking, and auditing to identify and rectify areas that may affect productivity and quality.
  • Establish and maintain relevant metrics to evaluate the performance of the clearance processing team and its processes.
  • Develop work plans and budget requests for the current year, along with projections for future years, and execute according to the plan.
  • Provide comprehensive recommendations to senior management, articulating supporting details effectively.
  • Utilize knowledge of Government regulations and internal policies to create and uphold Corporate Instructions, Policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate the implementation of changes stemming from policy and regulatory updates.
  • Prepare and disseminate communications related to the Security Department and its objectives.
  • Maintain regular interactions with NNL management and external contacts to address stakeholder needs.

Note: This position necessitates a Q security clearance. If the selected candidate does not possess a Q security clearance, they will be processed accordingly.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in a related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in data collection, tracking, and auditing.
  • Proficiency in developing work plans and budgets.
  • Experience in creating standard operating procedures and training materials.
  • Ability to formulate change management plans.
  • Experience in leading teams, setting ambitious goals, and recognizing achievements.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with relevant examples.
  • Experience collaborating across organizations and locations.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and implement innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Pay Range: $76,000.00 - $117,000.00 annually. Salary is determined based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
