Job Overview

As a Senior Security Program Officer, you will serve as the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) within GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation. This role demands expertise in managing personnel security, physical security, and information security for Special Access Programs. Your primary responsibility will be to enforce security protocols essential for safeguarding classified information, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, JSIG, ICDs, and relevant DOD regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage security education, training, and awareness initiatives, including orientations, annual refreshers, debriefings, and specialized training sessions.
  • Deliver engaging briefings and training to large groups effectively.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service, interpersonal, and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Oversee a document control system and conduct regular inventories. Manage a visitor control program, including processing visit certifications and ensuring proper reception and escorting of visitors.
  • Administer a personnel security program, demonstrating proficiency in initiating, recertifying, and maintaining security clearances.
  • Utilize Personnel Security Databases, such as JPAS, efficiently.
  • Collaborate directly with government clients and support offices, building management, and host security personnel on facility-related matters, special events, and operational procedures.
  • Implement an information security program that encompasses the handling, storage, and accountability of classified materials, along with training personnel on marking and classification protocols.
  • Contribute effectively as a member of a cohesive team.
Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an associate's degree with at least 5 years of experience, or a high school diploma with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
  • Military experience is considered equivalent to professional experience.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.; sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this position.
  • Possession of a DoD SECRET security clearance (with Top Secret eligibility) adjudicated within the last six years is required.
  • Experience working in a controlled environment is essential.
  • Demonstrated customer support and strong communication skills are necessary.
