Job Overview

As a Senior Security Program Officer, you will take on the role of Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) within GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of expertise in managing personnel security, physical security, and information security related to Special Access Programs. Your primary responsibility will be to enforce security protocols essential for safeguarding classified information, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee security education, training, and awareness initiatives, including orientations, annual training refreshers, and specialized event training.
  • Deliver effective briefings and training sessions to diverse groups of personnel.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, alongside strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Manage a document control system and perform regular inventory checks. Supervise a visitor control program, including the processing of visit certifications and visitor management.
  • Administer a personnel security program, ensuring the initiation, recertification, and ongoing maintenance of security clearances.
  • Utilize Personnel Security Databases proficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with government clients and support offices, as well as facility management and security personnel, to address facility-related matters and operational procedures.
  • Implement an information security program that encompasses the handling, storage, and accountability of classified information, as well as training others on classification and marking protocols.
  • Contribute effectively as a member of a small, dedicated team.
Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, or an associate's degree with at least 5 years of experience, or a high school diploma with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
  • Military experience is considered equivalent to professional experience.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visas.
  • Security Clearance: DoD SECRET (with Top Secret eligibility) adjudicated within the last six years.
  • Experience working in a controlled environment is essential.
  • Demonstrated customer support and excellent communication skills are required.
