Job Summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a skilled IT Enterprise Support Specialist to provide technical expertise and guidance in supporting end-user hardware and software issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in client/server, network, mainframe, and applications environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to end-users' inquiries regarding technology issues, including incident recognition, research, isolation, and follow-up steps for first and second-tier issues.
  • Use incident management database and service desk systems to track and resolve issues.
  • Support a wide range of end-point devices on the Berkshire Hathaway Energy network.
  • Assist in recommending systems modifications/configurations to reduce user problems.
  • Support and administer audio, video, and web conferencing.
  • Provide IT-related employee communications to the company or affiliates.
  • Participate in user testing, implementing, documenting, and communicating IT department initiatives.
  • Under supervision, create and present various reports to management as requested.
  • Provide after-hours support and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of one year of direct related technical experience.
  • Basic knowledge of client/server, network, mainframe, and applications environments.
  • Microsoft certified systems administrator within 12 months of hire or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in moderate problem-solving.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Availability for on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis.
