Production Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Support Specialist to join our team at Ash Grove Cement, a CRH company. As a Production Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cement plant, providing support to production teams and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general clean-up and material handling duties, including operating heavy equipment and machinery
Assist in removing and installing refractory lining in the kiln, preheat tower, coolers, and other related plant equipment
Perform cleaning of plant equipment, including unplugging chutes and silo feeders, cleaning the inside of dust collectors and tower cyclones, and unplugging preheat tower vessels, feed pipes, conveyor drags, augers, belt conveyors, and troughing rolls
Assist in screening grinding balls and recharging mill grinding ball load
Perform janitorial and ground keeping duties, including changing air conditioner filters, moving, weeding, fertilizing, watering, and trimming
Perform vacation relief and fill other positions as needed
Requirements:
High school graduation or equivalent is required
Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
Willingness to learn, training will be provided
Ability to safely and effectively use and operate a shovel, broom, chipping hammer, pavement breaker, concrete saw, Waldon front-end loader, Bobcat loader, motorized sweeper, brick saw, water hose, air hose, sledgehammer, and air lance in performing job duties
What to Expect:
Work will be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
