About the Role

  • Manage and oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the property, ensuring a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Approve and maintain timecards for office and maintenance staff members.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase occupancy rates and resident retention.
  • Handle sales and marketing ventures, promoting the company and property to potential residents.
  • Track and manage revenue and expenses, preparing and maintaining reports for upper management.
  • Collect rent dues in a timely manner and manage contract obligations.
  • Coordinate all move-in/move-out related items and documents.
  • Train, develop, and manage the performance of team members as needed.
  • Oversee contractors and vendors, ensuring work completion meets American Property Management's quality standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in multifamily/student housing within the last 10 years.
  • 3+ years of experience managing an apartment community, including oversight and management of employees.
  • Must be well-versed in Federal Fair Housing Laws, landlord-tenant laws, and ADA Laws.
  • Must have experience managing market-rate communities.
  • Must have experience managing Class A and/or Class B communities.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • On-site and/or Knock experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in effective communication and teamwork.
  • Maintains a positive outlook and embraces a collaborative team approach.
  • Shows responsibility and takes pride in their work.
  • Fluent in English, with strong reading, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
