About the Position

HASC Center Inc. is seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Residential Support Professional. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve a greater level of independence and community integration.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes, work, and daily life.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as showering, toileting, grooming, laundry, and housekeeping as necessary.
  • Foster increased socialization, skill building, community safety, and overall independence skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote independence and community integration.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other team members to ensure seamless support.
  • Document outcomes and observations using a computer documentation program.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to increase knowledge of best practices and individual needs.

Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required; some college is a plus.
  • Work or life experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities is a plus.
  • Ability to support people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Valid NY State Driver's License may be required depending upon the position.
  • Tuberculosis test mandatory for most positions.
