Description

The San Bernardino Superior Court is in search of a proficient Fiscal Analyst. In this critical role, fiscal analysts play an essential part in maintaining financial integrity and guiding strategic decisions within the organization. Your expertise in financial data analysis and forecasting will be vital in promoting fiscal accountability and facilitating organizational advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and project management tasks that may involve sensitive matters impacting the entire court system.
  2. Provide analytical support to management by performing research and drafting necessary documentation.
  3. Serve as a subject-matter expert on various projects, offering support to committees and project leaders.
  4. Monitor and advise on legislative changes, conducting research and making policy recommendations.
  5. Perform administrative and operational studies, including cost/benefit analyses and workflow optimization.
  6. Represent the court in meetings and collaborate with county and state management staff.
  7. Prepare and review grant proposals and manage claims for reimbursement.
  8. Lead projects or manage small programs, ensuring effective planning and execution.
  9. Organize and facilitate training events, managing associated budgets and logistics.
  10. Draft a variety of materials including reports, manuals, and presentations.
  11. Prepare statistical reports and conduct data validation to meet state requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in public or business administration, criminal justice, court administration, or a closely related field, along with at least three years of professional experience in statistical analysis or complex program/project management. Experience in a trial court is preferred.

Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
A valid California Class C driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Court's vehicle insurance program.

Knowledge and Abilities:
Understanding of public administration principles, statistical methods, court operations, and project management techniques. Ability to analyze financial problems, collect and interpret data, conduct meetings, and prepare comprehensive reports.
