Description
The San Bernardino Superior Court is in search of a skilled Fiscal Analyst. In this essential role, fiscal analysts play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity and facilitating strategic decision-making within the organization. This position involves delving into complex financial data analysis and forecasting, where your proficiency will promote fiscal accountability and contribute to the growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute advanced analytical tasks and project management duties that may involve sensitive issues with a broad impact.
- Provide expert technical support to management by conducting thorough research and preparing documentation for review.
- Act as a subject-matter expert for various projects, offering support to committees and project leaders.
- Monitor and inform management about the status of current and pending legislation, making policy recommendations as necessary.
- Conduct a variety of administrative and operational studies, including cost/benefit analyses and workflow optimization.
- Represent the court in designated meetings and collaborate with county and state management staff.
- Prepare and review grant proposals and manage claims for reimbursement.
- Facilitate training events and develop training materials.
- Draft a variety of materials, including reports and presentations, to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in public or business administration or a related field, and at least three years of professional experience in statistical analysis or complex program/project management. A master's degree in a relevant field may substitute for one year of experience.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Understanding of public administration principles and management practices.
- Familiarity with statistical methods and research techniques.
- Ability to analyze complex financial or budgetary issues and provide sound recommendations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using standard business software and data analysis tools.
