As Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for timely and accurately reporting revenue according to GAAP and ASC 606. You will be in charge of the order to cash process and related month end close activities; in addition to automating and scaling your side of the business. Oftentimes, you will need to collaborate with legal, business development, sales and other functions in the company to ensure compliance to revenue recognition policies. This role will be reporting to the Controller.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Ensuring the proper accounting treatment of revenue and related costs according to GAAP policies (ASC 606 & ASC 340)
  • Owning the Deal Desk process to review sale contracts for billing and revenue recognition purposes
  • Facilitate in the month-end close with creating journal entries and preparing reconciliations for related accounts
  • Collaborate internally and externally on revenue and margin forecasts versus actuals and resolve discrepancies
  • Establish and improve operating procedures for new customers, credit limits, credit memos, write-offs and discount policies
  • Participate in external audits by helping with auditor requests
  • Developing and mentoring team members on career paths
  • Provide standardized revenue reporting
  • Other ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5-7+ years work experience
  • Working experience with ASC 606
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 3 or more years of experience with digital advertising and/or ad tech
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Google Sheets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Public company experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Enterprise accounting systems such as Netsuite is a plus
  • Task based and deadline focused
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to multi-task and work as a team in a high-volume/high-accuracy environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
