As the Revenue Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and precise reporting of revenue in accordance with GAAP and ASC 606 standards. You will oversee the order-to-cash process and manage month-end closing activities, while also focusing on automating and enhancing your operational responsibilities. Collaboration with legal, business development, sales, and other departments will be essential to guarantee adherence to revenue recognition policies. This position reports directly to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate accounting treatment of revenue and associated costs in line with GAAP policies (ASC 606 & ASC 340).
  • Manage the Deal Desk process to evaluate sales contracts for billing and revenue recognition.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process by creating journal entries and preparing reconciliations for relevant accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders on revenue and margin forecasts, addressing any discrepancies.
  • Establish and refine operational procedures for new clients, credit limits, credit memos, write-offs, and discount policies.
  • Support external audits by responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Mentor and develop team members on their career trajectories.
  • Provide standardized revenue reporting.
  • Engage in additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 5-7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with ASC 606 is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 3 or more years of experience in digital advertising and/or ad technology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a public company is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with enterprise accounting systems such as Netsuite is a plus.
  • Task-oriented and deadline-driven.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively in a high-volume, high-accuracy environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation for this role is expected to range from $125,000 to $150,000 annually, with actual salary dependent on various factors including location, experience, and performance. This base salary is one component of Samba TV's comprehensive compensation package, which may also include bonuses, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, health insurance, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
