Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer is a senior executive position responsible for leading the financial management of LTD Lane Transit District. This role plays a crucial role in developing and implementing financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support the organization's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support the organization's strategic goals.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, statements, and analysis to the senior management team, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
- Manage the budgeting process, monitor financial performance, and identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability for LTD.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure compliance with regulations, and prevent fraud.
- Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate potential threats to the financial health of LTD.
- Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to develop and execute financial strategies that support the long-term sustainability and growth of LTD.
- Ensure compliance with financial and FTA Procurement regulations, policies, and procedures, and coordinate with external auditors on financial and procurement audits.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as government agencies, funding sources, and financial partners.
- Provide leadership and direction to the finance, accounting, materials management, and procurement departments.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of seven years of related work experience in finance or a related field.
- Proven track record of effectively interacting with executive leaders and Boards.
- Experience working with state and federal government funding.
- Experience presenting to the public and Boards.
- Strong business acumen, a solid grasp of business operations, and a passion for organizational effectiveness.
- Strong managerial, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Ability to meet schedules and deadlines of the work.
- Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced, and high-growth environment.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information and professional boundaries.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise executive reports.
- Ability to represent the agency and department.
