**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Help Desk Field Technician to join our team at Raul Yzaguirre School for Success Charter. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our staff, teachers, and external partners, ensuring that our computer systems and equipment are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Field Support: Provide on-site technical support to our staff and external partners, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using diagnostic and support request tracking tools.
  • Documentation: Document end-user identification and problem details, as well as the resolution process.
  • Communication: Build rapport and elicit problem details from customers, providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot issues before escalating, and record and document the problem-solving process.
  • Learning and Development: Learn software and hardware used by the organization, and stay updated on IT advancements.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in technical support or a related field is beneficial; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, basic understanding of computer hardware and software, familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, macOS), ability to learn new technologies quickly, and customer service orientation.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with prolonged computer use and repetitive motion. Physical tasks such as bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and driving may be required. The position may also involve occasional irregular hours and onsite support.

Terms of Employment:

The salary and work year will be determined by the Raul Yzaguirre School for Success Charter Board of Trustees.

Performance Evaluation:

The performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the IT Supervisor.
