Role Summary

At Blue Origin, we're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. As a Fluids Operations Specialist III, you will be responsible for defining and enforcing the operation of the New Glenn Upper Stage subsystem, including CONOPS, functional architecture, components, software, and integrated interactions. You will collaborate with the stage-level Vehicle Operations Integration lead to create a comprehensive set of constraints, alerts, and limits for the New Glenn integrated test and launch teams.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed CONOPS for pre-launch and flight operations
Define operational constraints for the end-to-end safe handling and successful operation of the subsystem
Collaborate with integrated test, launch operations, and autonomous flight operations customer teams to incorporate operational constraints into downstream procedures and flight plans
Provide real-time engineering anomaly resolution during integrated test and launch operations

Requirements

Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering or related technical field
5+ years validated experience with a combination of analysis, design, test, and operations for launch systems
Hands-on experience in developing, authoring, and implementing integrated tests or operating launch vehicles
In-depth working cryogenics and pneumatics fluids subsystem domain knowledge
Ability to work with partially defined requirements and changing criteria
