Fluid Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Fluid Systems Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our New Shepard program, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing fluid systems for our human spaceflight vehicle.
Your expertise in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our spacecraft.
As a collaborative and innovative team player, you will work closely with our engineers and specialists to develop and implement cutting-edge solutions for our fluid systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop fluid systems for the New Shepard vehicle
- Perform structural analysis and testing of fluid systems
- Develop component specifications and manage suppliers
- Provide manufacturing and production support
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- At least 2+ years of aerospace industry experience or internship experience in relevant industries
- Basic proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo or Pro/E preferred)
- Experience in structural analysis including hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with pressurized cryogenic fluid systems, valves, manifolds, fittings, tubing, quick disconnects, and seals
- Experience with thermodynamics, fluid flow, or heat transfer analysis
- Experience with safety assessment and operation of pressurized test hardware
