Design and Develop Innovative Fluid Systems

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Fluid Systems Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing the fluid systems that will enable our reusable suborbital rocket, New Shepard, to take astronauts and research payloads to the edge of space.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and route individual fluid subsystems, including propellant feed, pressurization, and pneumatics
  • Develop and implement design changes to improve system reliability, operational cost, and flight cadence
  • Participate in component and subsystem level testing, including planning, execution, data reduction, and analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fluid systems with other spacecraft components

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree or higher in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years' experience in aerospace or related industry, with a focus on fluid systems design and development
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid flow, and heat transfer analysis
  • Experience with 3D CAD programs, such as Creo Pro/E
