Job Title: Facilities TechnicianJob Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at Meggitt Aerospace Group in Simi Valley, CA. As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining utilities and process equipment, ensuring facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs a variety of skilled maintenance for facilities, including painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Ensures facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
  • Plans, organizes, and prioritizes work activities and duties to maintain facilities.
  • Inspects, repairs, replaces, services, and maintains existing electromechanical equipment.
  • Conducts electrical systems conduit runs, including light and power circuits, motors, control equipment, light fixtures, and panels.
  • Understands and follows safety procedures, maintenance instructions, manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and assembly diagrams.
  • Maintains necessary records/documents of work performed.
  • Follows all safety policy and procedures.
Requirements:
  • A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.
  • Vocational training, apprenticeships, or the equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 2+ years or more of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial systems; electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and compressed gas.
  • Ability to recognize and solve typical problems from established operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
  • Safely and effectively use, operate, and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Maintain facilities and equipment in a clean, safe, and secure manner.
  • Perform work as directed in an efficient, effective, safe, and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Experience in working within a team environment and able to adapt to changes in work requirements.
  • Respond appropriately to changing situations.
  • Independently organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills and establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships.
  • Able to read and interpret documents, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Preventative Maintenance.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • EPA 608 Certification.
Work Authorization:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § is required. U.S. Citizenship/Permanent residency is required for most positions.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, and location as well as market and business considerations.
