Key Responsibilities:
  1. Execute regular maintenance activities, including painting, minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, to uphold the functionality and safety of the organization's facilities.
  2. Conduct routine inspections of facilities and grounds to identify and rectify potential maintenance concerns or safety risks.
  3. Address maintenance requests promptly and efficiently, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and significance.
  4. Implement preventative maintenance measures to reduce the likelihood of equipment malfunctions or facility damage.
  5. Oversee the maintenance of the organization's outdoor areas, including landscaping, snow removal, and litter management, to ensure a tidy and inviting environment.
  6. Work in conjunction with the facilities management team to establish and execute maintenance schedules, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  7. Assist in the arrangement and disassembly of equipment, furniture, and facilities for special events or meetings as required.
  8. Monitor and manage inventory levels of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, submitting purchase requests as needed.
  9. Ensure adherence to applicable health and safety regulations and policies, fostering a safe working environment for all personnel and visitors.
  10. Stay informed about industry best practices, trends, and regulations related to facilities maintenance, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance and competitiveness.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a maintenance-related field is advantageous.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, ideally within the relevant industry.
  3. Solid understanding of maintenance principles, practices, and safety protocols.
  4. Proficient in the operation of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  5. Strong problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve a variety of facility-related issues.
  6. Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  7. Ability to read and write in English; effective communication skills, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and best practices related to facilities maintenance is a plus.
  9. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  10. Fingerprint Background & Child Abuse Index Clearances.
  11. TB, Drug, and Physical Test Clearance.
Licenses & Certifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current California Driver's License.
  • Current Automobile Insurance.
Physical & Mental Demands:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-demand and interactive environment, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Capacity to work under tight deadlines with a high level of accountability.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.
