Job Overview

The Facilities Technician, Sr is responsible for monitoring and maintaining utilities and process equipment in accordance with standard procedures, requirements, and safety policies. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing utilities and process equipment while optimizing the utilization of facilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes, and prioritizes work activities and duties to maintain facilities
  • Inspects, repairs, replaces, services, and maintains existing electromechanical equipment
  • Conducts electrical systems conduit runs, including light and power circuits, motors, control equipment, light fixtures, and panels
  • Understands and follows safety procedures, maintenance instructions, manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and assembly diagrams
  • Ensures the safe usage and disposal of hazardous materials according to safety procedures and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
  • Maintains necessary records/documents of work performed
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Requirements
  • Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
  • Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Years Experience: 2 years or more of relevant experience


Skills
  • Working knowledge of electromechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to recognize and solve typical problems from established operating procedures and/or scientific methods
  • Experience in working within a team environment and ability to adapt to changes in work requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills
