Job Title: Facilities Technician

The Facilities Technician is a key member of our team, responsible for monitoring and maintaining utilities and process equipment to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and prioritize work projects, including materials and staff resources needed to perform the work.
  • Inspect facilities and grounds for safety and security, identifying and reporting hazardous conditions.
  • Provide recommendations for contracted services and oversee the work of contracted services to ensure compliance with service agreements and work quality.
  • Conduct electrical systems conduit runs, including light and power circuits, motors, control equipment, light fixtures, and panels.
  • Ensure the safe usage and disposal of hazardous materials according to safety procedures and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Education:
  • Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma and relevant work experience.
  • Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
Skills:
  • Knowledge of industrial systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and compressed gas.
  • Ability to recognize and solve typical problems from established operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
  • Safely and effectively use, operate, and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Maintain facilities and equipment in a clean, safe, and secure manner.
  • Perform work as directed in an efficient, effective, safe, and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Experience in working within a team environment and adapting to changes in work requirements.
  • Respond appropriately to changing situations.
  • Independently organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills and establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships.
  • Able to read and interpret documents, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Preventative Maintenance.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • EPA 608 Certification.
Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $24.00-$25.00 hourly, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
