Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at First Tek. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining utilities and process equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize work activities to maintain facilities and equipment
  • Inspect, repair, replace, service, and maintain existing electromechanical systems
  • Conduct electrical systems conduit runs, including light and power circuits, motors, control equipment, light fixtures, and panels
  • Understand and follow safety procedures, maintenance instructions, manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and assembly diagrams
  • Ensure the safe usage and disposal of hazardous materials according to safety procedures and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
  • Maintain necessary records/documents of work performed
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
  • Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 2 years or more of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of electromechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to recognize and solve typical problems from established operating procedures and/or scientific methods
  • Experience in working within a team environment and ability to adapt to changes in work requirements
