Position Overview

The Inventory Control Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and directing inventory operations across various manufacturing facilities to ensure efficient stock management, optimal resource allocation, and timely production schedules. This position requires the development and execution of inventory management protocols, collaboration with multiple departments, and the utilization of sophisticated inventory systems to maintain precise records and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Oversight and Management:

  • Formulate and enforce inventory management protocols across diverse locations.
  • Oversee and sustain ideal inventory levels to meet production demands.
  • Conduct routine audits and cycle counts to verify inventory precision.
  • Establish and manage a centralized inventory control system.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Engage with procurement, production, and logistics teams to guarantee timely material availability.
  • Relay inventory status and requirements to pertinent stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with operations to resolve inventory challenges and discrepancies.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Examine inventory data to discern trends, anticipate needs, and make informed decisions.
  • Compile and present inventory reports to upper management.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to optimize inventory levels and minimize costs.
Process Enhancement:
  • Identify and implement enhancements to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Devise strategies to reduce surplus inventory and minimize waste.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and incorporate them into inventory management processes.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Implement and uphold safety protocols related to inventory handling and storage.
  • Educate staff on inventory management best practices and safety measures.
Technology Integration:
  • Utilize advanced inventory management software and ERP solutions.
  • Incorporate automated systems to enhance inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and updates of inventory management technologies.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of five years in inventory management, preferably within a manufacturing context.
    • Experience overseeing inventory across multiple locations is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
