A Day in the Role: As an Industrial Maintenance Specialist at Veritas Steel, you will be tasked with the upkeep and repair of various electrical and electronic CNC machinery, programming interfaces, portable air and electric production tools, hydraulic systems, welding apparatus, Kinetic burning tables, and drilling equipment. Additionally, you will oversee the maintenance of the facility and surrounding areas, ensuring a high standard of technical proficiency and quality in your work.

Your Skills Will Include:

  • Proven maintenance experience with multiple kinetic burn and drilling machining centers, CNC machinery, beam lines, angle masters, Lincoln electric controllers, or welding tools; required
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues, implement safe solutions swiftly, and navigate resource procurement and inventory management processes
  • Skill in prioritizing, scheduling, and delegating tasks to the maintenance team
  • Effective communication with team members, supervisors, and administrative staff
  • Proactive in anticipating equipment needs and updating supervisors on status
  • Coordination of tasks with all shop and yard teams
  • Utilization of interpersonal skills to enhance team efficiency (communication, conflict resolution, and personnel management)
  • Implementation of cost-effective maintenance strategies

Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in electronic controls and PLC programming
  • Certification in Lincoln Electric controller repair
  • Strong foundation in CNC programming for various machining centers and burn tables
  • Ensuring safe handling and repair practices are consistently followed by all personnel
  • Regular updates to floor supervisors regarding equipment repair statuses
  • Collaboration with teams to meet production targets and quality standards
  • Coordinating with supervisors for scheduling necessary repairs and equipment maintenance
  • Active participation in pre-planning maintenance initiatives
  • Mentoring and guiding the maintenance team
  • Verification of quality in all performed work
  • Accurate completion of documentation, including work orders and logbooks
  • Addressing issues promptly by notifying supervisors and discussing solutions
  • Continuous identification of performance improvement opportunities
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment after task completion

Your Work Environment:

  • Work will be conducted indoors within a spacious warehouse or outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving machinery, heavy steel, and other potential hazards
  • Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots, is mandatory; respirators are required for specific tasks
