Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Bridge Inspection Team Leader to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Bridge Inspection Team, you will be responsible for leading a team of inspectors in the field on routine and/or complex bridge inspection assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a bridge inspection team within Texas
  • Lead a team of inspectors in the field on routine and/or complex bridge inspection assignments
  • Prepare detailed reports of inspection findings and recommendations
  • Identify and make repair recommendations
  • Track, schedule, perform, and assist with in-service inspections
  • Develop recommendations to clients
  • Ensure the quality of work and quality control of client submittals
Qualifications
  • Be a detail-oriented and highly organized individual demonstrating initiative and commitment
  • Be able to withstand high levels of physical exertion including walking, climbing, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Have a Valid Driver's License
  • Prior to employment with Stantec, you will be required to pass a pre-employment Drug/Alcohol screening
  • Have the education and/or experience to be or become TxDOT pre-certified in the following categories:
  • 6.1.1 Routine Bridge Inspection Team Leader
  • 6.2.1 Complex Bridge Inspection Team Leader
  • 6.3.1 Tunnel Inspection Team Leader
  • 6.4.1 Underwater Bridge Inspection Team Leader
Education and Experience
  • Experience with coding using SNBI
  • Experience with TxDOT's current Bridge Inspection Manual (BIM)
  • Experience with Bentley's AssetWise bridge inspection management software
  • SPRAT Climbing and/or FAA 107 Drone Certification
  • Experience performing Element Level bridge inspections and experience with AASHTOWare Bridge Management (BrM) software
  • Experience performing steel and concrete structure load ratings with AASHTOWare Bridge Rating software
  • Structural analysis of highway bridges and/or other structures including culverts, overhead sign supports and/or tunnels
  • Experienced in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation drafting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
