Key Responsibilities:
  1. AOI Machine Operation:
  • Configure and prepare AOI systems for production cycles.
  • Operate AOI machines to evaluate electronic and mechanical components during the manufacturing process.
  • Continuously monitor inspection results and adjust settings to ensure precise defect identification.
  1. Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct thorough inspections to detect defects, irregularities, and inconsistencies in components and assemblies.
  • Work alongside quality assurance teams to establish and uphold inspection benchmarks.
  • Assist in analyzing inspection data and provide insights to enhance product quality.
  1. Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
  • Perform regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of AOI systems.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges to reduce machine downtime and sustain inspection precision.
  1. Training and Support:
  • Deliver training and guidance to junior AOI technicians on machine operation, inspection methodologies, and quality protocols.
  • Provide technical assistance and support during production operations.
  1. Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection outcomes, equipment upkeep, and procedural modifications.
  • Create reports outlining inspection results and any deviations from set standards.
  1. Process Improvement:
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of AOI inspections.
  • Propose and implement improvements to inspection processes and protocols.
  1. Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow safety guidelines and ensure AOI equipment adheres to all safety regulations.
  • Foster a safety-oriented culture within the team.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Multiple years of experience as an AOI technician, showcasing proficiency in AOI machinery operation.
  • Strong technical understanding of automated optical inspection systems and associated software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain high accuracy levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of electronics and manufacturing processes is beneficial.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to evolving production requirements.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities for guiding junior technicians.
