About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Inspector to join our Transportation-Construction Management (T-CM) practice in the Houston, Texas area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and Inspect contractors' on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Conduct Field Tests and inspections to verify the quality of materials and completed work.
  • Track and Measure completed work quantities for payment purposes.
  • Perform Bridge Substructure and Superstructure Inspections to ensure structural integrity.
  • Maintain Detailed Records of contractors' daily operations, including manpower, equipment, construction methods, and events affecting the work.
  • Identify and Address discrepancies and potential issues with work zone traffic control plans and erosion control plans.
Requirements
  • 8+ Years of Construction Experience with 4+ years in roadway/bridge inspection or a Civil Engineering degree and 3 years of road and bridge construction engineering and inspection experience.
  • Ability to Read and Interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
  • Ability to Obtain Required Certifications and pass relevant qualifications tests within specified time frames.
  • Physical Demands include sitting, standing, climbing, bending, twisting, or stooping frequently and for prolonged periods under various outside conditions.
Preferred Certifications/Credentials
  • OSHA 10 Hour
  • ASBI Grouting Certificate
  • PTI Level 2 Multistrand & Grouted PT Inspector
  • Minimum 3 years Bridge inspection experience
