About the Position

We are seeking a Community Outreach Enrichment Leader to join our team and contribute to the success of our summer program. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and leading engaging summer activities, collaborating with colleagues, and fostering a sense of community among participants.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Develop and lead interactive summer programs that promote healthy habits, problem-solving skills, artistic expression, and literacy development.
  • Work closely with the team to plan and execute field trips, ensuring a fun and enriching experience for participants.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment, prioritizing the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of children.
  • Communicate effectively with caregivers, community members, and organizations providing resources to our program sites.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills in youth engagement, positive behavior management, and community outreach.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • AmeriCorps membership requirements include being 17 years or older, a US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident alien.
  • Passion for working with youth, commitment to serving as a positive role model, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Reliable transportation and access to a phone.

Benefits and Compensation

">
  • $750 bi-weekly stipend, totaling $4,500 for the service term.
  • $1,565.08 education award upon completing the service term.
  • Eligibility for publicly-funded benefits, such as SNAP and student loan deferment.
  • Reimbursement for mileage related to DREAM travel.
