Position Overview

We are in search of a proactive Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to safeguard our information and mitigate risks across our products and internal systems. This role involves close collaboration with the Security Engineering manager and the engineering team to ensure our services are thoroughly vetted and consistently maintained. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, be adept at multitasking, and maintain a forward-thinking approach to ensure comprehensive security coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Address and resolve complex issues that require escalation.
  • Utilize contextual awareness to provide effective security solutions based on risk assessment.
  • Conduct risk analyses across enterprise and production environments to identify and mitigate both internal and external threats.
  • Offer advanced support for security systems technology, including the installation and maintenance of security tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain and provide guidance on security technologies and tools.
  • Support system enhancements aimed at improving security measures.
  • Oversee corporate and production security protocols.
  • Plan and execute investigations into suspected computer crimes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with security vendors to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work independently to achieve leadership-set goals while being a collaborative team member.
  • Manage, remediate, and escalate security alerts, events, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary business controls related to the security program and participate in audits for assigned responsibilities.
  • Conduct secure code reviews.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Rust, Go) is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and source control technologies.
  • Experience in offensive security is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
  • Ability to design scalable, repeatable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
  • Experience in risk assessment, emergency preparedness, and incident management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to foster team relationships.
  • Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) and familiarity with SIEM tools is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of SSO platforms, such as Okta and SAML.
  • 3-5 years of experience with AWS, GCP, and CDN/edge security tools and services.
  • CISSP certification is a plus.
